When filling your self storage unit, it is important to pack it properly to utilise all the space. Make sure you place heavier items at the bottom and lighter items at the top!

Here are some other helpful tips to consider when filling up your unit to save money and time:

-Protect items with plastic covers to avoid damage -pack heavy items in small boxes -label all boxes

-Pack items you may need at the front of your unit

-Make sure all white goods are dry and clean. Leave doors open

-Leave all cupboards and drawers empty

-Disconnect all bed frames and tables

-Avoid using newspaper for fragile items. Use bubble wrap or butcher¹s paper

-Place breakables such as glasses and plates on their end within the box

-Remove batteries from devices and drain fuel from machinery

*Never store any goods that are illegal, stolen, inflammable, explosive, environmentally harmful, hazardous or perishable.
